Career Life

M. Night Shyamalan had a desire to become a film maker from a very young age.
His father wanted him to follow in the family passion of medicine, but his mother encouraged him to become a film maker and screen writer.
He was a great fan of Steven Spielberg (an American film director, who had covered many themes and genres).
By the time he was 17, he had made 45 home movies, beginning with ‘The Sixth Sense’.
His second film ‘Wide Awake’ was released in 1998, and his parents were the film’s associate producers.
He was the winner of Padma Shri Award in 2008, (an award in India, given for their contribution to the Arts, Sciences etc).

-The Sixth Sense
-Unbreakable
-The Village
